Logline -Death is the only certainty we have in life, and yet we know so little about it. Join us as we explore the different aspects of the afterlife including near death experiences, mediums & channeling the dead and how people are trying to extend their lives thru cryonics.
Outline - After living through a global pandemic, in 2022 death has been placed at the forefront of our lives however what actually happens to us when we die is still shrouded in mystery.
There are some cultures who believe that death is truly the end, however there is a growing community of people around the world who claim to have had near death experiences. These people, in the 10's of millions believe that they have traveled beyond the grave & have proof of the afterlife & that consciousness lives on after our bodies die.
If this is true then can the terminally ill freeze their bodies at the time of death, to be brought back to life & healed in the future?
There are others who possess a 6th sense & claim to have conversations with the dead or have experienced paranormal phenomena involving visitations by ghosts. Does this mean that humans can communicate with the spirits of people who have died and if so, can these spirits come back to haunt us?
Serena DC meets with the world's leading scientists, doctors, experts, mediums & paranormal investigators to discover if there really is life Beyond The Grave.
To try and uncover the secrets of the afterlife, Serena DC travels across America to spend time with some of the most prolific experts on life after death.
First, we visit Death Doula, Maria Telliano to learn about what the moment of death really looks like and to see what spirit looks like at the moment it leaves the body.
We then hear the stories of two near death experiencers who describe what happens to you when you die with commentary from New York Times bestselling NDE author, Dr. Eben Alexander.
Next we visit Alcor. The worlds leading cryonics lab in Arizona to learn how to freeze a body at the moment of death with the hope of being able to be brought back to life in the future.
Wanting to experience some real paranormal activity, we then head to Rhode Island and visit the most haunted house in the USA. The Conjuring House, to try and communicate with spirits with original house owner (and subject of film "The Conjuring") Andrea Perron.
Finally, we journey to Joshua Tree California to meet with the world famous medium, Susan Grau who proves that communication with loved ones on the other side, is possible.
